An evening to the San Francisco Giants (24 October 2002):

De San Francisco Giants speelden Game 5 in de World Series in hun eigen Pacific Ball Park. Het stond 2-2 tegen de Anaheim Angels. The SF Giants played Game 5 in the World Series in their own Pacific Ball Park. The score was 2-2 against the Anaheim Angels.

Ik probeerde op straat aan een kaartje te kopen maar dat was onmogelijk. Of alleen boven $500. Dus bleef ik een beetje bij het stadion rondhangen.

I tried to buy a ticket on the street. But that was impossible below $500. Of course I didn't do this, and I just hanged out around the stadium.
Voor de wedstrijd begon zong Leanne Rhymes het Amerikaanse volkslied, kwamen er zes F-16's een paar keer overvliegen en barste het vuurwerk los. Before the game started Leanne Rhymes sang the National Anthem, six F-16s flew over a couple of times, and there were big fireworks.
In het water lagen ook een hoop mensen om op hun manier van de wedstrijd te genieten. A lot of people just enjoyed the game in their own ways in the water next to the stadium..
Op een zekere plaats buiten het stadion kon je naar binnen kijken en de wedstrijd zelfs redelijk zien. Verder heb ik rond gelopen en in bars rondgehangen. At a certain place outside of the stadium one could actually look inside, and see the game. Besides this, I walked around and went to some bars.
Het stadion van de Giants is echt enorm mooi. Jammer dat ik het niet van binnen kon zien. Maar toch was deze avond een enorme leuke ervaring. The stadium of the Giants is very nice. Too bad I could see it from inside. But this night was a great experience anyway.
Ik heb ook een hele hoop kleren gekocht in de grote winkel in het stadion. De Giants hebben trouwens een historische wedstrijd gespeeld. Ze wonnen met 16-4! I bought a lot of cloths in the big Giants shop inside the stadium. By the way, the Giants played a historical game. They won with 16-4!
