Friendly football match: Sweden-England @ Ullevi Stadium, Gothenburg: (March 31, 2004)

I went, together with Arne (from my department) to see the friendly football (yes, that's soccer, you bloody... :P) of Sweden against England. They played at the Ullevi Stadium in Göteborg. A very nice stadium; for this match it was (almost) fully booked with a little bit over 40000 spectators. And 'we' (=Sweden) won, with 1 to 0 and the only goal was made by the one and only Zlatan Imbrahimovic!

First we went to a place to eat.
The ticket!
A very nice stadium, the Ullevi.
The view was really nice as well.
The teams of Sweden and England
Below the only Dutch supporter, I guess. :D
They ended with pretty impressive fireworks. I guess those were more exiting than the game, although the game was quite nice as well. ;) Well, the fireworks were more exiting per time unit anyway, hehe.

And after the game everybody has to leave of course.
Arne and I went into the city for a drink and afterwards we took the night tram back home.

Above you can see the article that was on the front page of the Swedish Metro (Göteborg edition). I downloaded the digital version from www.metro.se.
