A regular trip to my work place on the Chalmers campus: (February 24, 2004)
| First of all, I have to wake up, usually a little after 7 AM. | |
| Then, take a shower. | |
Eat breakfast and make lunch. |
| And there I go... | |
| It was snowing quite a bit this morning. | |
| I have to cross a couple of parking places in between some flats. | |
| And then wait for the tram (or bus), which usually doesn't take that long. This time I took tram 8 because then I have to walk over the campus. This is mainly to make this tour a bit more interesting for you. Normally I would take tram 7 or bus 16 which can drop me off very close to my building, and therefore I will be a couple of minutes faster. It takes me about 15 minutes, by the way. | |
| Today they actually checked if everybody had his public transport ticket, i.e. if you paid for the trip. A guy next to me didn't have a ticket, and had to pay a fine of SEK 600 (EUR 70). He actually tried to escape when he saw those guys who were checking but they stopped him. Bad luck... | |
| I got out at Chalmers (normally I would get out on the next one, Kapellplatsen). | |
| The main entrance (above). | |
| These stairs are called 'Olgas trappor'. So, this one is for you, Olga! | |
| And after some more stairs (up and down) I arrive at my building (Vasa building, below). | |
| It is a very nice building with interesting architecture. It used to be a hostipal but it has a very modern and technological atmosphere on the inside. | |
| I have to use my card to get into my department. | |
| And below you can see my office. | |
| And this is the kitchen where we can make some coffee, or even espresso. | |
| This is my view. As you can see, I can check out all the beautiful Swedish girls here. ;) | |
| But of course I also have to work... | |
And when I get home (the same way as I got there) I check if I got any mail and then prepare some dinner. I hope you enjoyed my virtual tour. It was nice having you! P.S. Don't forget the guide. :P |
